Adoption is not the call to have the perfect, rosy family. It is the call to give love, mercy, and patience.

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.

We should not be asking who this child belongs to, but who belongs to this child.

I have four children. Two are adopted. I forget which two.

Anyone who doesn’t have experience with adoption wonders, ‘Does love for a child come through DNA?’ I knew it didn’t.

God knew that it doesn’t matter how your children get to your family. It just matters that they got there.
